What Will You Give This Year?

This year #GivingTuesday falls on November 28th.

You can always donate directly through our website or set up a Facebook Fundraiser of your own that benefits The December 5th Fund. If you’ve never set one up, it only takes a few minutes. Make sure you have a personal Facebook page and then follow the steps below.

Setting up a Facebook Fundraiser for The December 5th Fund

On a desktop computer:

1. Click the “Fundraisers” tab in the left-hand navigation bar of your Facebook page.
2. Click the “Select nonprofit” button.
3. Type “The December 5th Fund” in the search bar and click on our logo and name when it pops up.
4. Give your fundraiser a title and change the description (if you choose).
5. Set a goal amount you want to raise, and hit the blue “Create” button.

On a phone/tablet:

1. Click the “Fundraisers” tab under “Community Resources” when you click on the 3 horizontal bars in the lower right-hand corner of the Facebook app.
2. Click the “Create fundraiser” button and then click the “Nonprofit” button.
3. Type “The December 5th Fund” in the search bar and click on our logo and name when it pops up.
4. Give your fundraiser a title and change the description (if you choose).
5. Set a goal amount you want to raise, and hit the blue “Create” button.

Once created, the most important thing is to share your fundraiser with your friends and family on Facebook using the “Share” button.

• Breakfast for 20 people
• Rental of ice cream truck
• Build-A-Bear party for 5 people
• Steakhouse dinner for 2
• Hotel night for a couple

$500

• Private movie theater for 50 people with snacks
• BBQ grill
• Patio furniture set
• 10′ x 10′ pergola
• Built-in fire pit

$1,000+

• All-inclusive tickets for a sporting event for 8 people
• Catered lunch for 50 people
• Private dining experience for 6-8 people
